Eat Right, Live Right: Interact Club Hosts Food Safety Session

The Interact Club of SAI International School organised an impactful Food Safety Awareness Programme titled “Smart Eating, Safe Living”, reinforcing the message that health begins with mindful food choices. The session was graced by Food Safety Officer Shri Bibhudutta Tripathy and his team, who provided valuable insights into food safety standards and regulations.

During the interactive session, Shri Tripathy elaborated on food certification processes, proper labelling practices, and the role of FSSAI and other authorised agencies in ensuring safe food for consumers. He also introduced students to the Government of India’s Eat Right initiative, encouraging them to adopt balanced diets, read labels carefully, and make informed food decisions.

The programme concluded with students taking a pledge to eat responsibly, maintain healthy habits, and avoid food wastage. The Interact Club further enriched the session with a quiz-based activity, making the experience both educational and engaging.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) the initiative successfully fostered awareness about healthy living, responsible consumption, and sustainable practices among students.
