TEACHERS VISIT TO UK

The school was awarded the DFID Reciprocal Visit Grant this year and two teachers of the school had the privilege of visiting our partner school in UK(Chosen Hill School Gloucester,UK) Mrs. Rashmi Pandey and Mrs. Rinku Sarangi visited Chosen Hill from 16th to 23rd May 2010 to outline joint project details and draw up a partnership agreement .

PRINCIPAL’S VISIT TO UK

The Principal and Director of SIS Dr Arun Prakash visited UK from 1st May to 20th May 2010, on an official tour to some of the Partner schools in England. He visited Chosen Hill School in Gloucester, Winterbourne Academy and Ridings High School in Bristol, Camden Primary School in Camden, and Newport Primary School in Cornwall. He had comprehensive discussion with head teachers of these schools and interaction with the staff members.

SAI-oneers of class IX and X were given a wonderful opportunity to participate in a series of video conferences under the topic of 'Genocide in the 20th Century' in the month of April and May 2010.
The project involves participation in a series of video conferences, collaborating on a wiki and the development / implementation of a local “action project” that impacts on human rights.

The first video conference was held on 20 April 1010 and covered the 8 stages of Genocide delivered by Dr Gregory Stanton, CEO of Genocide conference participating schools from USA, UK, Canada and Italy were given opportunity to discuss genocide and have their questions answered by Dr.Stanton.
